Ok, insurance agent told me to take the bike to the dealer and they'll pay for the repairs of the bike. My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on great dealers in Texas to take the bike too? I'm looking at the following dealerships:

British USA in S. Houston
Eurosport Cycle in Fort Worth
RPM Cycle in Dallas
The Euro Shop of Waco in Waco
and
Polaris West in Katy

They are also replacing my body armor too ^_^ But he took the damaged armor with him and will just cut me a check he said  I was hoping to keep it as a momento of my accident. oh well

sorry I can't comment on the dealership thing

However I suggest double checking your helmet for scratches. They're easy to miss and even what seems minor can affect the brain bucket's ability the next time. I'd make sure the helmet is in A+ condition before closing out the claim in case it needs to get added to the mix. Easier now than shelling out what can be a lot of $$$'s out of your own pocket later.

I'm familiar w/ the first 3 on your list. RPM sells only Triumph & a few used bikes. They are a small shop compared to the others, but their knowledge of the brand is probably the best. They're the ones who re-built the "Texas Ceegar" Bonneville record setter.Next, I'd consider British USA simply because I've had 2 bikes from there, service mgr. (Joel) knows his stuff. Eurosport in Ft. Worth hosted the Triumph truck this spring so they evidentally have a good connection w/ the factory. From a geographical point of view I'd choose Houston.

good luck, TM

yea, that was the first thing i checked. when i flew over the bike i did a 'superman' slide on the ground and my head never hit the ground. I pretty much rode my forearms and hands in until i stopped sliding.

It's a shame I can't just take the bike to erico motorsports, but I just live way to far to drive it all the ways back to denver again Those guys there seemed great and I would've preferred to take it to them, but alas i just can't do it.

They're one of those types of dealers that are dedicated to another brand (in this case BMW) and don't really know much about Triumphs other than the fact it's a motorcycle. From talking to a few triumph owners that have been there, it sounds like the service people there don't know squat about triumphs. So to be honest, I don't trust them enough to take my bike to them to get repaired. I'd rather drive 3-4 hrs to take it to a "Real" triumph dealer instead of a second rate one that is down the street.

Oh, and i'm looking at M & M Powersports in Bryan/College Station as well in case anyone has had any dealings with them.

Any reason the European Cycle Sports in Plano is not on your list? I'm just curious, cuz they are the only Triumph dealer I have ever dealt with, and other than a few times taking longer than promised, I have no complaints with them... Most of the service guys, as well as a few in sales, own Triumphs too...

Not really, just didn't want a super long list ^_^

I'll keep them in mind as well if they are a good dealer. I'm gonna start calling dealers tomorrow to see who charges what on getting an estimate on repairs for the bike. This will also be a big factor if i take the bike to them because this fee will be an out of pocket fee (my insurance won't pay any estimate fees).

In that case RPM is the place. Keith's specialty is old British bikes and he's a really nice guy to talk with. BTW, Keith rebuilt the "Texas Cigar" that was destroyed in a fire in the UK.

While I haven't had experience with your other choices, I have dealt with Eurosport in Fort Worth. Their service is a Major reason I chose to ride a Triumph in the first place. They don't have waiting lines. They treat customers like family and they don't over charge folks. They are just Honest hard working folks. I'm sure some other dealers would do a good job, but I can't see anyone doing a more thorough job at a better price. They are a bit further than some of your other choices and others may feel a solid about their dealers as well, but I guarantee you won't be disappointed by Eurosport.
