Why is it everywhere i park my St i have to fight my way back to my own bike....
i also have to chat to total strangers who are admiring the bike....
i then have to endure tales of 'when i was a lad'......
I have to constantly say ' yes its right what the magazines say the new St's are brilliant'....
its like having an A list celebrity with you wherever you ride...... maybe once they are a more common sight on the roads i will be left alone !
But would i change the St for something else......... not ever ! fantastic bike, now done 1300 miles in 4 weekends and getting better by the mile. Im touring the scottish highlands in a few weeks so i will finally get the chance to see what the St is like for proper sports touring use :-D

We've just got back from doing 1300 miles in Scotland, bloody windy in the Cairngorms and very wet over Glencoe, bloody good though.

I was in Hawes on Sunday, sat on the bike waiting for SWMBO to finish chatting , and two old (even older than me!!!) blokes were stood alongside me picking imaginary faults with the bike as if I wasn't there "I've read that ...." etc. I had to tell them to p*** off and try the real world.

You're riding a bit of history.

Pity you can't charge an entry fee.

Spare a thought for those on the 'Classic' Trumps. I used to have a modified Legend and was told "I used to have one just like that" !

Now on the Sprint RS it's more along the lines of "You need a Pilot's licence for that" (groan). The trick would be a bike that attracts the Laydeez but repels the flat cap and pipe brigade.

BMW R1200C. Cream with navy pinstripes. You should wear a nice shirt, helmet with one color, clean boots, and tan leather gloves. It attracts the 30-40 crowd of women that dress nicely and drive nice cars.
I didn't care much for that particular bike, though. It was so slow, shifted really bad, and didn't have nearly enough ground clearance.
The Triumph logo has gotten me a lot of idiotic comments. Only a few intelligent ones.

TRUE the attention was was fun at first but soon became a chore...

Best attention STOPPER is a Baglux tank harness,
as it covers the Triumph legend/name on the tank.....

However I have had other sensible bikers...
i.e BMW owner types
enquiring as to what the red bike was that shot by them... when.....
they finally caught me parked up having a cuppa !
