Exhaust note

I was wondering if any of you have had a chance to hear the exhaust on the various years of the ST. I had an 02 and it was quiet but I could hear it when I was riding. I had some one tell me who had an 02 and crashed it that when he replaced it with an 03 that the exhaust was lower and louder on the 03 then the 02 was. any one have the same experience? I do not know what the 04's sound like because I am still a long time off from picking up my 04. I need some warm weather first.

I really can't hear mine. What with the Aria and plugs and the exhaust going out the back. I hear the valve gear and air box though and I like that sound.

Even those I ride with don't hear it much. My buddie Mikey was on his 3 1/2 Moto Morini and I went by him indicating a high rate of kts. and all he said he heard was a whoosh.
My dealer's 2000 ST is pretty quiet too.

Hey sprinting --

I know my 01' RS was pretty quiet (unless I was caning it) until I replaced my endcan after a crash. My new can really liberates that triple sound -- but without being obnoxiously loud.

I'll have to look for you this summer -- I'm across the river in Mpls. (but from 'sconny originally). :-D
