Problem with programming datatool digi

Hi,

I've just installed datatool digi gear indicator in my '07 ST 1050, following the installation manual.

I get following signals from my moto:

tachometer (rpm) - blue/purple (A14)
speedometer (kmh) - pink/yellow (A21)
neutral light - black/white (A19)
12V power - from left headlamp bulb
ground - from left headlamp bulb

I've programmed 1st and 2nd gear with succes, but with next gears something goes wrong. When the „3” appears on display, it's rapidly stored, even if the engine is idlle. With the next gears is similarly, finally it isn't work. I don't know what is going on. Maybe it's cause by some electrical noise?

They also have a pretty good internet help desk service.

Yeah, I wrote them. I also found an interesting information in Acumen indicator installation manual:

"RED (12V) - In most cases the
red wire can we wired
into the neutral switch as
shown. Alternatively
connect the red to any
wire that becomes live
when the ignition is
switched ON. (not lights
or indicators
)"

I suppose that it could be the same for datatool digi... I'm going to to check this.

edit:

unfortunately, nothing has changed...

I've connected my digi corretly and now It's posible to teach gears. After teaching digi has a problem with recognize gears 4th,5th,6th. While riding on 4th display shows 4 alternate with 5, number of gear changing every few seconds. On 5th display shows 5/6, and on 6th - 5/6 too.

I had a DiGi unit years ago on my '01 that never worked properly; replacement had same symptoms - distributor did refund money in the end. I have the GiPro DS unit on my '08 - make two connections (no soldering) and unit sets up properly the first time while running on the center stand. I ordered the 'blue' unit; can't be seen when wearing 'blue blocker' sunglasses!

GiPro costs alittle more but worth it IMO.
