Stock to Gel to Corbin

Any folks here done this transition and if so what's your feedback. I jsut tried stock to gel and it didnt work so good but I cant really put my finger on what it is about the ge seat that doesnt work for me. When i first sat in it I did feel like i was moved forward versus stock with less down slope to the tank but at 6' I sure didnt want to be forward. After 2 rides I am begining to think that if I were a thinner, and possiblly shorter, guy this thing would be the ticket but unfortunately 240lbs does not make for a thin guy! I had Corbins and Sargents on other bikes and loved em, this time I was trying to save a few $$$. Oh well if anyone has any feedback it would much appreciated before I lighten my wallet by $400 plus.
When get back home from the road I will post the gel in the classified, sorry admins for not following the rules this AM I was rushing between meetings...

take your seat down to an upholstry shop and have them work on it. You've got nothing to lose and I am betting it's miles cheaper than either aftermarket solution.

The one good thing about corbin is the locking seat, but I wouldn't guess it's $400 good.
