After doing several track days on my ZX6R, I decided to try switching to GP shift to see if it made any difference. So far, I LOVE it! I don't get a blister on my big toe from pre-loading the shifter, and I don't have to adjust my body position to catch a gear while coming out of a turn.

I'd like to make the same switch on my ST so that I can practice it more, but when I turn the shifter over, it hits the side stand.

Has anyone found a way to make GP shift work without major mods?

Thanks,
- Dave

I looked at doing that once. But didn't put a whole lot of effort into it. The quickest way would be to turn the transmission side lever arm 180 deg. But I don't think there's enough clearance to do that. I can tell you putting the 1 piece shifter from the Daytona/Speed Triple will NOT reverse the pattern. I'm running one of those now on my '02.
