I love the Aero screen and think it works a treat but it looks like it has a nasty side effect.

Under the lower part of the screen the paint is starting to bobble up and come away. At first I thought it was just me but now on the STN forum there are serveral people having the same problem.

Has anyone on this forum had the problem?

Has anyone got Triumph to fix it?

Is it just the Aero screen has anyone with a standard screen looked to see if there's is doing it?

I think it likely that the untinted Aero screen is magnifing the sun and causing the problem.

Hey guys, I too have had this problem and have called the Triumph- USA "accessory guy" about it. I had a chat w/ him about how the perception is that the current accessories are as good as they used to be ie.. hard/ soft bags and now the Aero screen too. He said to put concerns into an e-mail and send it to the dealr to forward to him, and that he would forward it to the UK for consideration. He said that they actually do read them and are working on improvements to the hard bags already. He was pretty nice, but didn't commit to anything yet. Perhaps since this seems to be a bad batch we will have more leverage...

I have pics if I can figure out how to upload them...

I have many pics of the bike since the bobbling started but it doesn't show up. Something about the way the light hits the screen when I take a photot it looks fine.

Might as well put my name on the "My Aero Screen has bubbling paint" list. I have emailed my dealer and ask that he forward a copy to Triumph as suggested.

Mine, too. The dealer will be replacing mine next week during the first service (along with the hose that was the subject of the recall). Other than the hose and the screen, the only other thing I need to have them do is replace one of the fairing bolts that is missing. Are those something that you want to loctite on with the weak stuff?

Well, I got my new screen put on and within a day it looked worse than the one they replaced. The service department is going to check on this and see what Triumph's solution will be. It must be the heat out here in California land... Oh, wait, I see that it's also happening on the other side of the pond. OK, must be bad paint...

Who did you speak to at Triumph USA?

I spoke with Peter Carleo, and he didn't seam to know anything about any complaints about the luggage or wind screen. He also told me that until I received the notice from Triumph about the hose that I should not worry about there may not even be a recall. I faxed him my complaints as well as emailed them to him. I have not received any acknowlegment from Triumph.

My dealer says that they can't do anything until Triumph USA authorizes it.

peter.carleo@triumphmotorcycles.com here is his email, I am fed up with Triumph service. I have given up on Triumph, as soon as I ware this on out it will be my last.

I like my dealer, I like the Triumph community, but I'm tired of the company.
