The "05 Sprint ST requires the following "special" tools for removal of the wheels according to a FAQ elsewhere on this board:

- 46mm (1 13/16") socket and wrench
- 19mm Hex Key
- T55 Torx

My question is should I consider carrying these tools with me?

The only time that I carry the big wrench is when I take a long distance trip to somewhere, otherwide I just carry a plug kit and small compressor for travels around Texas and keep the ramp and tie-downs in the truck in case I have to call my wife.

I bought my 46mm socket with a 3/4" drive socket set from Harbor Freight on sale for $34.99. It also included the 22mm socket for my front end since it seems that I have a 99 my 2000 model.

Thanks, Scott, that makes sense. I could deal with packing the sockets, I suppose, but when you add the 1/2" wrench or T-handle, the weight really starts adding up.

I guess what I'm looking for is a special sparkplug-like tool with 46mm on one side and 19mm on the other and a hole in the middle to run an 18" rod through for leverage and the rod has a 19mm hex on one end and a T55 Torx on the other! This sounds like something Orange County Chopper could make!
