Smile Sprint total write off

Anyone looking for a repairable 1050 ABS sprint have a look at Fowles auction Altona Melbourne for Wed 2nd Dec and you will see my beloved Triumph. Good news is that I am now running in a brand new one, was not hurt (apart from a cracked rib) and still have my rego XOSET.
The oil cooler was leaking (either just before or as part of the OFF) but the engine is running well and recently had its 40,000 Km service. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with the bike as I was riding it over the Refton spur when the back let go on a right hander and I hit the embankment on the left. The rear tyre had oil all arround the right hand side which was a Pilot powet fitted the day before!!
Cheers one lucky Sprint rider.

Glad that you weren't hurt Gavin .... except for the one rib AND bike that is.

Good luck with the running in.

What some guys go through for a new bike! Seriously, though, it is a blessing you're okay and a silver lining is definitely a new bike. (What color is the new bike?) Have you figured out what caused the spill? New service, new tire... No troubles beforehand... then BAM!
It's scary because we put a lot of faith in our bikes and yet....

Hey Gav,
now that you have a new 1050, you should come for a ride over Mt Hotham in Jan

Cheers
