Am I a Hooligan
So yesterday I pull into the local "Speedy Mart", and a couple of boarders pull up. One of them tells me about his 1098 Duc and say "thats a nice touring bike", I had the bags on.
I just upgraded the sprockets and .I am still learning. I left the lot slowly then wacked the throttle This was my best wheelie yet on the the Sprint.
The question is?
1. Was I a bad infuence on these young heads full of mush?
2. Was I, an old guy, trying to kill him self?
3. Was I totally cool by showing these kids that never saw a 1098 how cool a Sprint was?
4. Am I loosing my mind trying to impress 16 yo kids?
5. Am I practicing my new found thrill every chance I get?

Yes, No, Yes, No, Yes.

Yes to all.
But that's not a bad thing. You're a hooligan who knows his limits. <g> I'm one too.

I know this: When I see an R1 pull a wheelie I think to myself "IDIOT!"
When I see a goldwing pull a wheelie I think to myself "NICE!"
Not sure why that is

Yes, you were a hooligan. Goodonya.
Am I the only one that does not know what a "boarder" is, or should I do a search?

You know, we have a perfectly good search function here .
I'm not sure but I think a boarder is similar to what the cops around here call hoopers.
THese are the people that are generally of low mentality, follow others and have a tendency to get into trouble, but not really bad people. Think of a basketball circling the hoop and every once in awhile the cop has to jump up and tap the ball so it doesn't fall out.

As far as the OP, When I, as an OF, have this urge, I usually remember that when I feel froggy and I jump, a ticket is not far behind.
When I and my riding mates feel the urge we head out to where cops are afraid to go. This is in the hills on the logging roads mostly in the county. Since there are only 2 county mounties out at any one time the likelihood of encountering one is very remote. Plus I have a little bird with the CLO's office so I go where they ain't.

I think a "boarder" is a person on a skateboard. We call them wood pushers.
