Helmet question
Could you good folks tell me what make and model helmet is good in the rain? I have a Scorpion EXO 400 that I have liked pretty much, but a few times in the rain, including today when I had to ride it to get to work, the rain gets in under the top of the shield and spoils my vision. Someone noted in a previous thread that the visor on the Scorpion doesn't seal very well, and I can confirm this. I put a length of decoy twine into the seal on the top of the visor to puff it up a little, but testing with the sprinkler on the kitchen sink shows that this probably won't do the trick.
I'm in a bind with vehicles right now, and I'm fairly comfortable riding in the wet, but I must be able to see!
I appreciate any thoughts on a wet weather helmet.
Thanks,
---Charlie

I have an HJC AC-12 that I've never had rain leak into. With the added Respro Foggy, I'm good for all weather!

I've got an HJC Symax (the first generation) and I've never had a problem with rain getting into it.

My last 2 helmets have been AGV, and I've no complaints about any aspect of them, well sealed and good inner screen demisting vents.

I have a Soumy Trek, an HJC something or other and a Nolan N102.
The HJC has leaked a little the others never leak at all.

I have a SHOEI RF-1000 and have never had a problem
although I have never ridden in a hard driving rain, just steady rain. But always dry. I do use a pin-lock system for anti-fog and it works great, but is expensive.

CharlieS,
My ARAI shield pivot can be adjusted. Can you adjust the one on the Scorpion? If so, you need (obviously) to bring the shield a bit closer to the helmet.

I tried that last night. They are back as far as they'll go. Only way I could get them to go farther back would be to remove some material from them and elongate the mounting holes. I tested it with the sprinkler on the kitchen sink, and water is still getting behind it. Looks like my comfy helmet is going to be my comfy fair weather helmet.

KBC leaks like a sieve, and couldn't adjust it away. HJC leaks a little stream in 2 spots, and never tried to fix. The Shoei so far bone dry, but its only been rained on once.
By the way, is it pronounced "shoe E" or "show E"? I've heard it both ways and not sure which is right but leaning towards "shoe E".
Sorry for the hi-jack. Please continue.
