2000 Triumph sprint st 24k. I have yet another issue. I parked the bike in the garage tonight and noticed a strong gas smell after i went into the house. Walked back in to see a small puddle on the left side of the bike.
I recently took it in to the dealer for a fuel regulator recall. Its been a week and Im thinking it may not be installed properly.
The gas is leaking from the left side off of the frame near the shift lever.
Also when I open the fuel tank I get that whoosh sound every time.
It was doing that before I took it to the dealer. But yet it stopped for the week that they put the regulator or whatever was recalled on it.

So far Ive taken off the plastics to see where its coming from but I cant seem to locate the leak thus far.

Check your quick disconnect fuel connectors first.

AASprint,

If you do have a leak from the fuel fittings, do a search for 'fuel fitting'. There are several threads on the subject.

It is a very common problem.

Well I checked the fuel fittings and they seem to be fine. It has not leaked again but Im sure the problem will arise once more when I at least expect it. Also since it is obviously intermittent Im going to assume that the fittings are the culprit.
