An interesting observation from a nonmotorcycle rider

It's near total darkness when I leave work now since the time change and I was followed through town for a ways by one of our account execs on the ride home the other night.
He made a comment the next day about how bright the turn signals and brake light were on my bike.
He'd pulled up beside me and flipped me off because I'd gone around him and three other cars a few miles back in the go zone so I flipped him back and went round the car in my lane and in front of him and was looking at the back of a tractor-trailer so I goosed it and flipped on my signal and took back off into the right lane.
He said my signal lit up the entire side of the white car on the right and she hit her brakes as soon as I flipped it on.
Good to hear that the stock blinkers are bright enough. Too bad the headlights aren't.

He is an ex-fireman/paramedic and he also called me crazy for the move around the diesel but there was plenty of room.
Really, there was.

So is it safe to say he's seen the light but hasn't accepted the truth?

lol Candle in the wind. He told me he was ready to call Kirk and have him come help him scrape me up off the pavement. He was sure the diesel was going to hit his brakes and I'd be roadkill.
It was close but it was no cigar.
Nice to know they worry about you though. :-)

I get people flashing their high beams at me, but I don't think it's because they're too dim!

I guess the thruth is in the eye of the beholder...

I have had more than a few close encounter from fellow riders that were riding behing me because I would put my blinkers ON and they wouldnt be able to see them well enough in bright daylight. I aggree with you that in nightime use the blinkers are sufficiently bright, but it will be my first bike project this winter to replace the original rear blinkers with LED ones. Two of my friends and my girfriends bike too have the LED ones and I swear they are reaaally visible during daytime and will freakin' burn your retina in nightime.

I think I even chose the model that will fit the Sprint nicely, the Oxford Colombia model, mind you the Oxford standard LED series OF468 might fit nicely the "trilogy" theme on the Sprint too.
