My service manual is on order, but a friend has some time to help me tomorrow with the above-referenced tasks.

He knows how to do both for carbs, but doesn't know about TB's.

Can anybody give a brief description of the procedures for an 03 Sprint ST?

Thanks in advance?

OK, I've done a little research, and have determined that you have to overcome the issue of keeping the fuel lines and electrical lines to the tank connected to the engine while running and adjusting, which doesn't sound like a simple task.

If I can overcome this hurdle, could someone describe the adjustment screws? and where to connect the carb synch tool to pick up vaccum?

Jim,
I have never done this but, according to my manual:
Remove the tank, disconnect the air bleeder hoses between the TBs and the idle control valve at the cylinder head. Insert the hose T pieces between the TB/idle valve/vacuum analyzer. Somehow reconnect the tank, Triumph sells extension kits for the hose and electrical lines. The #1 cylinder is on the left. Set the adjusters so all TBs have equal vacuum. The adjusters are on the opposite side of the TBs from the bleeder hoses. Next one needs to check the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) stepper position (diagnostic tool needed) to make sure it is between 25-35 steps. If not make equal changes to all three adjusters and recheck IACV stepper position. After all criteria is met check the idle speed, it should be 1200+- 50 RPM. If not adjust the closed throttle position, again using a diagnostic tool.
As I said I have never done this so there may be ways around using the diagnostic tools, I don't know.

Thanks very much John,

This is very helpful!

I found a very good description on the net of how to do this, but it was missing the trick of inserting a "t" into the vacuum hoses, as well as the other detail you've included.

I very much appreciate your taking the time to post this information!
