NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 05V276000 Recall Date : JUN 13, 2005 Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:HOSE Potential Number Of Units Affected : 969 Summary:
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THE LOWER BY-PASS COOLANT HOSE CAN RUPTURE. Consequence:
A LOSS OF COOLANT FROM THE ENGINE CAN RESULT IN THE ENGINE OVERHEATING AND SEIZURE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE COOLANT HOSE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING JULY 2005. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT TRIUMPH AT 1-678-854-2010. Notes:
CUSTOMERS CAN ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-327-4236.

..... it has probably already been done - if the bike has been serviced by a Triumph dealer.

You can go to www.triumph.co.uk and go to 'technical' and input your VIN to see if there are any outstanding recalls to be done on your bike.

thanks for this tip. i've been to the site plenty of times, but never noticed this feature and apparently my bike has outstanding recalls.

I did that before finding this thread.

This is what Triumph says:

"There are outstanding service bulletins or recalls on your bike.

Please contact your nearest dealer without delay to have your bike upgraded or modified at no cost to you."


Tomorrow I'll be making a phone call.
