Hey everyone!

I have a '00 Sprint RS that I'm totally in love with -- except for the boring sound of the factory exhaust, (the stainless steel can). Can anyone suggest a good aftermarket setup, or tell me whether or not the Triumph carbon fiber can is worth the purchase?

Dave

I, too, am going through the same process. I have found there are almost no full systems for the RS, but just slip-ons. My front runners right now are Renegade, D&D, and Two Brothers. I haven't had much luck finding a full system for it yet, though, that is what I would like to get.
I don't like the Triumph cans because of price and I want my bike loud, and they aren't enough for me. Hope this helps... at least you are as far along in the process I am now... :-D

I have the Triumph carbon fiber can on my '01 RS, and I like it. It provides a very pleasant but not loud noise in the lower range and then starts to bark around 5,000. I've heard D&D are quite loud, if that's what you like. And Two Bros has an audio clip of their can on an RS at their website.

Have fun shopping.

Kurt

I have the Triumph Carbon Fiber Can on my 00 RS. Besides looking really trick, it does improve the sound with out being obnoxious. It has such a wonderful growl under accleration that I find myself rolling off the throttle while cruising, just so I can roll back on to hear that wonderful triple song!

Interesting note however, a friend has an 01 RS and had the carbon can installed at a different dealer, and it is a slightly different pipe than mine. His is a 2 piece design with the exhaust pipe bolted into the can. Mine, the pipe is welded. I believe there are two pipes available, one for the earlier 108hp motor and another for the later 118hp motor. My dealer claims that mine was the correct one for the 00 & 01. His dealer probably put on what they had in stock and didn't check. He has not noticed any running problems with that can and the proper downloaded tune, and it is even a bit richer in sound. I personally think his looks better as well. that is the one I would go for.

Good Luck!

Rick
