OK guys,
following info needed to make SPRINT ST
even more PERFECT !
Anyone make a FULL rear hugger yet ?
Who makes a nice LARGE double bubble screen for the SPRINT ST 1050 (suit 6' tall) ?
Anyone got a META 357V2 Alarm on ?
instead of the Annoying Triumph Datatool alarm ?
If so, does it fit without too much hassle ?
Anyone do a rear light/number plate tidy conversion yet ?
Cheers,
Neil.

I have tried to order both, but getting them in the US is going to take a while. Hopefully you will have better luck on your side of the pond.

Hey, Neil. What's wrong with the Triumph alarm? Don't have one, just curious.

The Datatool 3 is a pain in the*** the separate fob means that you have to disarm, then insert ignition key before putting the fob away, then operate the clutch and start the engine as you don't want to stand around with ignition on and headlights blazing.
The Meta alarm has the unit within the key fob. The Datatool fob also looks rather delicate.

mick,
Im surprised you say 'put the fob away.' maybe you use the lanyard insted of attatching it to the key....In the past they have come supplied with a special pin/ bolt with a grub screw in them, this fixes the fob to your key rather than having it on a key ring. keeps the fob upright so no yoke scuffs.
I have found the fob to be very sturdy and 100% water proof, unlike reports on the meta and acumen.
I know its annoying resetting etc but at least you dont have the worry of forgetting to arm it.

MRA is almost a neighbour!
Last week I called them for a ST'05 screen.
A lady told me that they will not make screens for the '05 modell.
She did'nt give a reason.

It is on their website and on the TwistedThrottle website. I also recieved an email from them stating that it would be ready in two to three weeks. TwistedThrottle took my order but maybe I will get an email in a few weeks telling me bad news.

Andrew 1965,
Like RedMicks comments,
the datatool auto arms the bike in 25-30 seconds of turning the ignition off (even with the key in) !
Hence if you wish to sit on or load the bike, without leaving the ignition on with lights blaring (flattening the battery) ,
you usually get the alarm activating !
The alarm is also VERY LOUD & even gets my neighbours curtains twitching when setting & unsetting, let alone when it goes off, hence it's a real nuisance !
I do'nt like to carry the fobs on my key ring, as they usually shake themself to bits, hence you end up searching for ages getting your gloves off etc, while the alram goes off !
With a lesser bike i'd have probably dropped it or kicked it over in anger by now !
I've also unset the alarm in valet mode, when washing the bike, only to find it activating on me !
Hence It's a real pain in the ar*e & wouldn't touch another bike with this       alarm.
Neil.

Seriously thinking of buying a Meta & junking the  Datatool.
Neil.
