Lights

I will also be upgrading the lights on the new 1050 with Philips Xtreme power bulbs - they were brilliant on the 955i.

Has anybody changed the lighting so that all three projectors work as both low and high beam and, if so, how do you do it?

All three to work as high and low? No. Easiest way would seem to be just leave the switch set to "high" all the time.

But I did change the wiring such that the middle beam works as low, and all three work as high.

1 low three high

Sounds like a better config' having 1 low and 3 high. Did you keep the original sockets for the high beam bulbs to plug in where the low beamers used to be? If so have you had any heat problems or was it just a case of running the extra wire accross and going for gold?

I didn't have to change bulbs or sockets - all three are the same anyway. I also didn't have to run extra wire.

There is a wiring harness directly under/behind the headlights which, on my '07, has the following wires: Black, Blue/Red, Blue/White, and Yellow. I cut the UR and UW, then connected one end of the UR to the other end of the UW and vice versa.

Before:

--UR--UR--
--UW--UW--

After:

--UR--UW--
--UW--UR--
