Lower rear foot pegs for 07 Sprint

I found lots of posts about lowering the front foot pegs but nothing about lowering the rears. Does anyone have any info about where to get some lower rear foot pegs?

There are a few ways to approach this: one is to find some footpegs brackets that are longer and have the same pitch between the mounting holes or make an adaptor plate that goes between the footpeg brackets and subframe mount or replace the bracket on the subframe and weld a new one on that is longer.

Wild Hair Accessories lists passenger lowering pegs. The same place I believe WardenRoss got his rider peg lowering kit. I'm giving serious thought to both sets of pegs myself.

I got me a set of MFW vario pegs from Twisted Throttle.

Now if i can figure out how to get the original pegs off without breaking anything.

Anybody have an idea ... i get the split washer off but can't get the pin out.

thanks

Thumbs up

Thanks Warden,

I had seen your post and only got as far as step 4 when i gave up thinking there was nothing there for the rear pegs.

Well, i should have gone that extra step , and i would have seen that there is a tiny retaining pin on the front peg and i might have one on the rear as well.

Guess what !! It's on the rear pegs too but very discrete.
