I am back on a 1050!

Yes after a 10 month hiatus on a twin I decided that a triple needs to be in the garage as well. So today I picked up my brand new Blazing Orange Tiger. I know not a Sprint but all my pals are in the Sprint forum.

What a machine this is. I put the race exhaust on it and while not very loud, not by old IXIL standards anyway, it sounds great and snaps like crazy. The riding position is absolutely magic for a guy my size.

I still have me wee Bonnie and will keep that for shows and scooting around town.

Few pics of the Tiger:

Wow Calli,

You know how to pick em mate that looks very very nice indeed, almost as tasty as my Daytona...............no not really!!!:

Just kidding Calli, it really is very snappy looking wow it is good.:

I really like the Arrow can and the colour.

Glad your back on a nice tall triple even though I like Bonnies too.

Looks great Calliway. I had a feeling you couldn't resist the pull from the dark side.

Wow that is a seriously nice looking bike! Is that an 09 model as the tank looks different (and better than the 08's - one of the reasons I went with the Sprint instead) - and I love the colour.

Thanks guys,
That is an 08 out of the crate and I love the color. I wish I still had my Tuneboy as my only gripe is at low speed/rpm it isn't as smooth as it should be or as my old Sprint with the modified 20106 tune.

The arrow can is one seriously well made piece and replaces the can and intermediate pipe going down to the pre cat. It really only growls when you open the throttle.

Funny thing I have to get checked out. I have three clear signal lights with amber bulbs and one amber lens with clear bulb. Driving me nuts......

Oh and do I have any mods planned, other than going to a more aggressive handlebar in black, no. I am just going to ride this one. The brakes are fabulous on this bike and feel fantastic. The adjustable front forks are easy and ride like a bike should. I hope that they put these forks on the Sprint next year.

Oh and Dave, you know I still love my Bonnie's. Especially my little Bonnie Black. It gets so many looks at work. Everytime I try to go for lunch there are people looking.

Nice! Congrats! The logical next step once we graduate from the Sprint.

Hi Calliway,

Brilliant news!

I did a RAT raid in April and rode the Tiger for the first time as well as the Daytona (2nd time), two Bonnies and the Rocket III. I was super-impressed by the plush ride and quick steering of the Tiger.

If I return to the Triumph Triple fold, I'm sure I will make the same decision as you. Lots of happy miles and safe ridin' mate.

Dave

PS - I'm still in love with Désirée my ST3 Duke, and won't be giving her the flick anytime soon!

Isn't that an old man's bike?

Great colour Calli. i am sure that you'll be please with it. The ride like a dream albeit a little upright for me.

I have always lusted after an S3 in that colour
