2007 ST Handlebars

Do I understand correctly that the 07 and newer STs have a higher handlebar configuration that the 06 and older models?

Yes, you are correct. The 2007 and later models came with the taller handlebar configuration. I believe they are about 1.5" taller than the ones on the 2006 and older models.

AS well as that all the 1050's have higher bars than the 955 Sprints.

The '05 1050 bars are higher than the '04 955's as I recall.

Yes, I noticed from my '03 to '06 a different feel in the ergos, though I didn't know it was because of clip-on height.

I'd warn caution about installing the '07 clip-ons, especially if you have a Sprint with ABS. Ended up costing me as much for labor as the risers themselves. In retrospect I might have gone the GenMar route instead.

Otherwise, I prefer the increased height of the new bars, so it's not a complete waste.
