Hi all,
curious how many others have had this minor fault. I have had to glue both my front clear indicator lenses back on after they started to come unstuck.

First noticed it when cleaning when one was about half unstuck. I know our roads aren't the best but I thought this a little poor.

Anyone else?

Not a big deal on such an awesome bike, but not very good attention to detail on Triumphs part.

Sound great goes soooo well arrrrgh love that Cf can!!! :-D

I've heard the same issue on other sprints. However, I have 19.5k miles on mine and they are still tight. Wonder if there was a bad batch of glue.

Yep quite possibly a batch of dud glue would do it.

One of mine fell off on the road somewhere before I turned 2,00 miles. Dealer replaced it under warranty and said I wasn't the first.

One of mine fell off at around 10,000 miles.
Glued it back on with clear silicone.
The other one is still secure.
Maybe I got a bad batch of glue along with my bad batch of shift linkage metal.

I had this happen to me a couple of summers ago. I was using S100 Cleaner on the bike and I seem to think that there was something in it that may have "eaten" away at the glue or somehow caused it to become unsticky. I used a little superglue and put it back. I ran out of S100 and haven't restocked and I haven't had the problem anymore.

I am not bashing on S100 or saying it is not a good product, but it seems that some people that have had this happen (at least on this thread) say they were washing there bike. So what you guys washing with?

My right one fell off just before the 600 mile service. Also, my right foot peg was broken in half. Don't know what from. The dealer installed both under warranty but gave me the evil eye, like did I drop it.

Then the lefthand lense fell off at 10K. They gave me a new one and I installed it myself. Taking the old one off, I noticed that the person that installed it at the factory had tightened a screw too much which cracked the lense. It probably took longer for it to fall off.

That being said, my current ones look to be a little unstable as well. Poor design.

With all these problems it may be prudent to do a little PM. Maybe pop the light out and run a bead of silicone around the lens? I think I will next time I have the fairing off. What's that they say about an ounce of prevention....?

My dealer handled this as a recall/warranty item and replaced both indicator assys. He said that the contractor that does this did have a bad adhesive.

A good silicone adhesive should work.
