Well, my Sprint and I have been together for about 6 months, and we've been taken it pretty slow. I've really come to admire her curves, but now have this mid-winter desire to take her clothes off to see whats underneath. Since I don't have a manual explaining how to do it, I'm looking for advice so I can put them back on real quick in case my wife walks in on us.

OK, enough of this anthropomorphism.....To remove the ST bodywork, is it as simple as removing all the visible hex-head screws? Or are there hidden attachment points or other tricks?

Just wanting to better understand the mechanics of my bike and putz around the garage until Punxsatawney Phil gives us the verdict.

Eric

No. Just take out all the bolts you can see. The only other connection on mine is to the switch for the factory heated grips. Put a blanket or some-such on the ground beneath in case any panels come off quicker than expected, it'll stop any damage.

Be sure to unplug (and replug when installing) the wiring for the turn signals.

The Nose piece is a three piece system with hidden screws. There should be no reason to disconnect these three pieces from each other. However, the nose piece does have two plastic studs that mount through a rubber grommet on just below the head lights. So getting it off may seem a little stiff. Just pull straight towards you and feel the plastic studs slipping through the grommets. Be sure when installing that these studs mate through the grommets.

Hope this helps.

If you are going to remove the rear panel also, there are pegs on the plastic that break easily if you are not careful. When nekked, it looks like a Speed Triple. My wife did not recognize it when she came home and saw Cindy nekked in garage...........

I was assuming you wanted to expose the engine and were not going to take the nose section off. Sorry to be a little misleading if I was wrong about this.
