Well done Tom - three years! There is no way I can live with mine for three years the way they are. I commute 1 hours each way each day, and it's getting too me. I can't wait to see what Peter can knock up - I'm sure it will be life changing!!
Wife hates the D&D's when I leave for work in the morning - she recons it sounds like an outboard motor now

So, 2 months after the D&D Install on my 2007 Sprint ST, with shims correctly installed, the plastic on the tail section is starting to ripple some....any ideas of how to prevent its further melting? It seems the exhaust is just a tad short from extending past the rear of the tail section....Thanks for any thoughts!

I've got mine booked into a custom motorbike exhaust shop on Tuesday. 2 totally new custom oval stainless steel exhausts plus custom connecting pipe to feed them both. Oval under seat look with the two oval exhaust drooping slightly down to the outside (reverse 1098 look).

I just have to decide on how I want the pipe ends to look, and if I'm going to stick with stainless all over - or go black cans with stainless end caps??

Best part is the shop owner is buying my D&Ds off me for a good price.

Can't wait to see and hear the end result - hoping to have it back by Friday - pictures to follow.

Picked up bike today with custom exhaust.
Very very happy

Absolutely love the tune - very deep triumph triple, with a nice bite to it without being too deafening.

Pictures to come tomorrow in the light of day.

Its a custom job from these guys in Brisbane, Australia:
http://www.motorcycleexhaustprofessionals.com.au/

Pete from that shop is great to deal with. Very professional and he was able to tune it to exactly the sound I was after.
Cost was AU$600 after the trade in of my D&D exhaust (I got $350 for the D&Ds).
We discussed at length the options of inserting a baffle or reworking the D&Ds, but in the end I don't think we were going to get what I wanted out of them - so we started from scratch.

Highly recommend these guys to anyone in the Brisbane area. They also do a lot of work on the Standard muffler - by cutting it open and doing their magic in the OEM box and then welding it back up. That is their standard job for these bikes.
Pete believes they get a much better tune out of them than the TOR exhausts by doing it that way - for only $300 odd dollars.
