Today I installed the BrakeAway cruise control on my '05 Sprint ST (www.brakeaway.com). This is a wonderful piece of engineering. It fits perfectly and works just like the video on their website.

Now I can set my cruising speed by simply pressing the BrakeAway with my thumb. Then I can stretch, ride with only a light touch of my left hand, flex/unflex my right hand to relieve any numbness, wave at Harleys using my right hand. This device has the greatest potential for extending my "saddle time"

To release the throttle simply press the release tab or place light pressure on the brake. I don't have to waste a second or two unscrewing a Throttlemeister.

(I could e-mail you an image if you'd like to see it installed.

Neat little device.

It should be this site, though:

BrakeAway Products

I installed one of these on my 2005 Victory 8 Ball, but I didn't know that you could mount it on sportbike grips. Could you post a pic of the mounting. It is a world of difference from my throttlemeister on my Sprint ST.

This thread reminds me to go order/buy an O-ring from Caterpillar that holds the throttle in place when you roll it into the gap between the grip and the bar end. Cheap and supposedly effective. I'm sure there's a part number for it somewhere on this site, but I'm too lazy to search for it. Google is your friend :-)

It looks like it goes over the grip. Do you have the heated grips? That may make a difference, as they are a little larger (I believe). Was the installation pretty simple, and did you have to modify anything?
TIA,
Dave
