I'm 6' 270# and did two mods recently.

One was to put Skyking risers on my bike - no more tingling in my wrists when I get off the bike. These cost about $120, but are well worth it .

The second was cheap, in fact it was free...

I used the suggested settings in the manual and stiffened up the suspension.

An imediate and significant difference, no more wallowing through corners, or lurching over bumps in the road. My condfidence is improved, and the bike feels faster :-D

Like many others, I suspect, I've been trawling message boards here and on T595.net, researching WP, Hyperpro, Penske, Ohlins etc, but haven't until now, had the gumption to reset the OEM suspension myself.

Having done a few mods succesfully (replaced the ugly signal lights, got rid of the rear fender, Triumph aftermarket can, and bar risers), I felt more confident about messing about with a more vital area of the bike.

And it was dead easy and made an instant difference. Go ahead, try it. :hammer:

I think I'll still check out progressive fork springs and valve emulators, but my next $300 are going on an advanced cornering and braking course

Hi HAggis,
I fully agree with you. We all think about tuning the engine for max performance, but a lot of folks ignore the suspension, thinking the factory settings are a good compramise. They are not. I played with the suspension 3 moths after I bought this bike because it felt like it should be a lot faster in the corners than it was. I felt the difference almost instantly. Now I have my settings dialed in for one up, and two up. Takes five minutes to change and makes a world of difference in the handling of the bike.
