Service Manual

Howdy ya'll, I'm new to the site so if this has been asked before bare with me. I 've just bought a 2001 Sprint ST, as I like to do as much work as I can on my own bike, and never owning a Triumph before I need some sort of service manual. The problem I have is finding reference beyond the year 2000. Does anyone know 1. are the 2000 and 2001 the same or 2. where I can get a manual. So far I love the bike, I had a 2003 VTX, after taking the Sprint our for a spin, I thought "why does anyone want a cruiser when you can have this"? Thanks Randy P

I believe the 2000 and 2001 years were the same. There were a bunch of changes for 2002. I would suggest getting the official Triumph service manual. Should be able to order it from your shop.

I bought my manual from hermys.com, I think it was about $85. I live 3 hours away from my dealer or I would have bought through him, as Garry suggested.

I'm the same way. There are a lot of things that I'd rather do myself simply because part of the fun of owing a bike is working on it. That is just an opinion of course. What you want is either the Triumph Sprint ST and Sprint RS Service Manual part # 3850760. (This is for 99-00-01 Sprints. I found mine on Ebay. The 2002-3-4 manual has another part #)

Also for for 99-00-01 Sprints (note the cover). I don't think that there is a Haynes for the 2002-3-4s. BTW that is the best price I could find on that. $26 including shipping. I've had good luck with Haynes Manuals. I only bought the factory manual because I just happen to see it on EBay at a reasonable price. Good luck with all that.
