Ditched the pannier racks - Check her out!

Well since I have never used, nor plan to use the hard bags on my '07' stealth beauty I decided to see how she looked with the side rack rails removed. Well as many know it leaves a gaping hole in the rear panel on each side of the bike where the rack attaches and four holes on the grap rail (which I'll fill with plugs). So I was thinking how cool it would look with a silver mesh screen to cover the panel holes and here are a few pics of what I came up the. I attached them using high temp RTV silicone and a bit of crazy glue to hold them in place while siliconing. They are ABS plastic and came from, believe it or not, one of my son's toys ... LOL ... Your comments are welcome of course ....

Slainte! friends

Very creative!
I think the sprint looks great without all the baggage (pun intended) and attendant racking.
Do the newer bikes have lighter colored seats?

Looks good... but you may as well go all the way and take off the lower pannier supports also.

Thanks - No not lighter seats - Bike is under flourescent lights which gives that appearance ... Yes, I do plan to take the rest of the hardware off also hopefully tomorrow ...

I had my girl stripped down for a track day last fall. I do love the look but have since returned the panniers.

Man, that looks sweet!
Almost like a "real" sport bike. Makes me want to strip mine off too, but in 4 short weeks I have really grown to like the panniers.

Maybe sometime this summer I'll get naked. :

Love the look of what you did. Nice job!

I have my friend that did pretty much the same thing on his Kawa ZZR1200 fairing opening... it looks the business

I really like the look of the bike without the racks/panniers, but I got the Sprint specifically for it's luggage capacity so mine stay.

Nice look with the screens, though!:

Never had luggage on my bike or the racks. Also took off the center stand.
