Well I have finally lowered my Sprint and am alot more comfortable sitting at stops. My question is I now need to get the side stand shorted, but my welder says he can not weld a cast piece. So what is everyone else doing ??

Ask him if he can weld forged steel.

Find someone else that knows the difference between cast iron and forged steel.

Are you suggesting that the sidestands on the Sprint are made by blacksmiths? Surely not!
