Givi V35 Mod?

I think that the Givi v35 panniers would be just perfect on my sprint 1050, not to big, not to small and look the part, however there is always a problem.

The plx type rack is not yet available for the bike!!

Kappa K33N are the equivalent same problem.

Has anyone got around this problem??

Thanks

Not myself, but I agree whole heartedly. They look like the bags that should have come on the new generation Sprint.

Hi mf51y,

Sorry also no answer to your question but I have a link to a review with photos;

They do look quite nice, are they smaller or the same size as the Triumph ones?

cheers,
DaveM

Not only do they look nice, but their bigger(!) than the OEM bags. You can actually fit a full face helmet in them, so I hear. Imagine that[/sarcasm]

Well sorry to burst any bubbles about them being able to hold full faced helmets...but here it is, taken from twisted trottle website : Due to their irregular shape, PLX sidecases are NOT large enough to hold a typical full face helmet.

But other than that I must agree that they really do look nice and would fit really great with the 1050 Sprint design... when is a rack system that makes 'em fit on our bikes available ?

Also from twisted throttle.....
V35 sidecases are NOT large enough to carry most XL full-face helmets, but will accommodate most smaller helmets.

So unless you have an XL melon, you may be alright.

I'll stick with my 955 sprint. There is no problem getting a full face helmet in my side bags.

I am going to try and work out which other bike has the nearest fit plx rack to the 1050 and look at modifying it. Let you know how i get on.

I have heard that the e41 panniers on the correct givi rack doesn't leave very much room for the pillion / foot pegs etc due to them being longer and wider?
