I am hoping someone can help me with this. Recently, I went to pull the rear wheel off of my 2001 Sprint ST. I loosened the axle nut and spun it off, then, not thinking of course, I pulled on the rim only to find out that the washer assembly came out and spilled on the floor. My dealer faxed the wheel assembly drawing from the service manual so I know which order the washers are placed. I am confused however on the positioning of the Belleville washer. The manual says to place it "dished face outwards". Does this mean that the washer should curve out when placed or should it curve in?
I would appreciate any help I can get on this.

Thanks,
tamant :???:

Looking at the shop manual it looks to be with the cone to the nut side. Since the nut is not quite as large as the washer face (because of the flats) I would put the smaller section to the nut, or put the washer in the direction that gives the 'most' contact surface to both surfaces. I hope that isn't to confusing.

The flat side of the washer should be on the inside, and the beveled side to the nut.
