New "GP style" Exhaust

So this is "Cut & Paste" from the thread I started at the other site.

New "GP style" Exhaust

So I wanted a low mount exhaust, but did not want to cover up the sweetness of the single sided swingarm. So this is what I came up with. It's based on some other designs out there and I found the right guy to put it all together for me. Not that I couldn't do it. But when someone else already has all the raw materials and a sweet TIG setup, why should I incur the additional expense.

Anyway, here it is in raw form. I will be offering it to anyone who wants one in either Polished SS or raw as you see here. I am going to pull it off this weekend and paint it using DuPont Header Paint, but eventually will have it ceramic coated. As far as the sound, it is not as loud as one would expect. Yes its louder than the dual highmount CRM that I had previously, but still quieter than 90% of the Japanese sport bikes, even when they are in stock form. I'll get some better pics up soon and maybe even a sound bite.

I'll also be working on a custom tune for it, but details and timing of that are yet to be determined.

so enough ...... And yes, I know the pics suck, but what do you expect from a camera phone.

I wish you had that posted before I bought my Arrow 3-1

Not that I'm unhappy with it, I was actually after a slip-on that didn't cover the wheel

How much were you after for that one? Or does that depend on the amount of interest? I might be persuaded to sell my 3-1 and go to that one

I'm having trouble downloading my sound clip from my camera. I'll have to try another camera and hope to have it up before Friday. But rather than keeping you all waiting, I thought I'd update you with some more photos from my camera phone of it after painting.

I've also worked out the details for cost. I'm going to be offering it for $225 in either polished or raw form. So if you are interested then send me a PM and let me know how you want it.

For mine, I used DupliColor High Heat paint (p/n DH1602). This is the same stuff I used on my header (and all other parts for that matter) and it has held up pretty well. Here is a YouTube on how to apply in case you can't read the can. :twofinger:
