Am i too small for a speed triple

Thinking of getting one, everything is looking good so far, when i was at the dealership i was able to touch the ground without a problem but i didnt pay much attention to how far the bars are. Im 5'9" and i dont want to have to reach super far, now that im looking at pics it seems pretty far from the seat over the tank to the bars.

any input would be great, thansk!

I'm 5'10" with short arms. And my S3 fits me just fine. I can ride upright or leaned forward. I've had no problems reaching the ground with my feet either. I think it'll be alright for you too. I have an XL head so I think that's where the extra inch in height comes from.

I, too, am 5'9" and I have no trouble with my S3. It fits me better than any bike I've had and, compared to the Ducati Monster I used to have, the S3 is a much better fit. The Monster had a slightly lower seat height, but the reach to the bars was noticable longer and less comfortable.

Unless you have an extremely short torso and/or short arms, you should have no trouble with the size of the Speed Triple.

What are you riding now? I'm maybe 5' 7" and have no problems with the height or the reach. Now on my WR 250 I'm happy to get a toe down!

Thanks for the replies, Saves me another trip to the dealer.

Im riding a wr250 right now, i can touch with my toes on both sides but it has 17inch street wheels/tires. Im looking to get a more powerful bike thats better for longer trips. my wr is pretty much maxed out at 70 on the highway. I also like the looks and reliability factor compared to other bikes. Everyone has a japanese sportbike, i want something different.

If you find trhe speed triple too big you could try the street triple, they're smaller and lighter.

I`m 5`5" and can only get one tip toe on the floor. Have owned my 1050 for almost 2 years, stunted it a fair bit, done 40,000kms in a variety of road conditions and have never dropped it. At your height it should be easy, seriously, if you REALLY have concerns then no offence but you should probably think about getting a cruiser, like a Virago or an America.

You can always add the lowering link if it's a touch higher than your comfortable with.
