New Exhaust & low on power!?!?

Those of you who tune in on a regular basis may have noticed that I recently replaced my stock pipes with a MIVV GP low mount.
I am however unsure if I have experienced a loss in power. When I first got the bike a month or two ago, I used to have moments when I felt like I was about to pull a wheelie when throttling back. Well, since I put on the new exhaust, I don't get that feeling, or at least I don't think I get that response anymore. My seat of the pants dyno is telling my that I have lost power on the bike. After I put the exhaust on I felt this, I had the bike mapped with the arrow tune the next day and the mechanic drove the bike around the building and said it felt normal although admittedly didn't open it up.
What could this be???....there is no obvious sign of power loss, just feel that bit weaker and less inclined to want to make a wheelie which is what it felt like when I first had the bike.
Since I have never actually done a wheelie, it is hard for me to guage all of this.
Does it sound like I have a problem or is it just paranoia???
Is there something I can do myself, a quick litmus test you can suggest I try when I get home that should be a good indication if I am dreaming this or not.
Or, should I seek professional help...if so, exactly what can I do to test this without spending an absolute fortune???
Thanks as always in advance for those of you kind enough to respond to my newbie posts. I have been a newbie on other forums and you guys are incredibly accomodating...
Cheers

I read somewhere that putting a low mount exhuast on will reduce the low end torque, but you will gain in the midrange and top end.

Thats what I believe your experiencing. I'm not a mechanic though and haven't been on your bike so I can't be sure.

If you want something to compare to...my 07 S3 wheelies best in first gear by getting going and around 2000 rpm open the throttle - brings it up everytime. I'm going to put the chain reaction low mount on in spring and it will be interesting to see if i can still bring the front end up just by opening the throttle in first gear at 2000 rpm.

So, you are coasting at 2k....

and then you flip the throttle back and the front pops up?...approx how many extra rpm's do you give it?.....
That is interesting feedback you gave me about lower tourque in the low end, that's what my seat of the pants dyno is telling me. Overall the bike still feels strong and ballsy, just not quite as 'jumpy'....I hope that is just the case. I would one day like to grow some cahones and pop a wheelie here and there, I presume even with a little less torque on the lower end this will still be fairly easy
thanks for your input!

I'm not that focused on the rpm, but I believe it jumps to around 5000 when i flip the throttle. Word of advice, when you try to do wheelies err on the side of caution. I nearly flipped over twice when i first started. Tank slapped my B@lls and then brought the front end down hard.

It changed your power band. You'll make more power up top and less down low. It's a welcome change if you enjoy blasting out of corners quickly.

This is worrying cause i was just about to buy that exact exhaust... but yet on the MIVV website they have dyno charts to show what it does for the bike and apparently there is supposed to be an increase across the whole entire range not just top end.

I have the Mivv and it's great as long as you get the right tune.

Which map did you load? and did you get it fine tuned or leave that map as it was?

I have the arrow low mount tune. It's not perfect with the Mivv or the Arrow for that matter, but it's close.(pretty damn good actually) I want to get a tune boy and get it dialed on the dyno next season.

Just chiming in, i've got an Mivv gp can as well, and the dyno chart that they have is pretty accurate. I noticed an increase across the whole rev band right away. The only thing that I can think of in your case is that it will rev past the lower rpm's faster, so you might not actually be as low in the range as you used to be with the stockers?? Just an idea...
