Hello, new to the board and the speed triple.
Picked up a 99 with 16K on this morning.
Riding it home thru traffic, stopped at a light, the Oil Light started flickering. Killed the motor and pulled over. The motor was warm enough the fan was running. Checked the oil level it looked fine. Restarted the bike, at idle the light still flickered some, but with a little throttle~1500 rpm, the light stayed off.
I rode home and changed and oil. Started the bike and rode around with no problems. Got back into traffic, and just as the fan kicked on, the light started flickering.
I did a little searching on this site, and it seems like the switching pressure for the switch is close to the idle pressure. Is it common for the light to flicker when the motor is hot? What can I do to check the pressure? Any advice is appreciated.
