I have been trying to supress my envy at y'all in the US, UK and elsewhere who are already riding your '05 S3s while I am still awaiting mine (this despite the fact that I put cash down in Nov and a trade-in in Dec). I now finally have a date for delivery, Apr 20 (blame this on the sled-dog driven Canadian transportation infrastructure), and I initially felt as if I were the last of the first wave of new S3 owners. After speaking to the dealership however, I wonder if I am not one of the first of the last folks who'll be able to get their hands on a new S3 until after the riding season <cue the "pretty short riding season in Calgary, eh?" comments here>. What I mean by this is that my dealer (the largest Triumph dealer in Canada, I believe) recently spoke to Triumph and was told not to bother ordering any more S3s for this season because they are all spoken for. My dealer is squirming, because they've got confirmed orders for 8, but their allocation is only 6. This may mean that some folks'll be SOL until the fall. Just thought I'd share this cautionary note to those who had thought to wait til now to order. :???:

beers - did you go over to Lynchburg? He's a nice guy... The dealers in NC had a different story, they have demos on the floor ready to sell, plus I asked them about ordering, and both dealers I went to said 14-21 business days for delivery. No computer confirmation, though.
The dealer I got mine from already had it on the delivery list, just not in stock yet. He had a blue one on the floor, unspoken for as well. I got the impression that the '05 wasn't as hot down there as it is around the rest of the country, 'cause they are sitting on showroom floors, not pre-ordered.

vt,
Yep, MillerBuilt told me they couldn't get any more and that the ones they are getting are sold. However, I understand that the first (yellow) one they got is a demo as the person who ordered it backed out.
Where are you getting yours? I got my '04 from Fox in Roxboro.

Sure enough, that's what he told me, too. I wanted to order from him 'cause I'll be taking mine there for service, most likely... oh well.
I got mine from Fox as well... I need to call and pester them for an update, they said they'd know when it should be coming, early this week :hammer: .

I ordered mine almost three weeks ago from my dealer's delivery list. He's getting six bikes, two yellow, two black and two blue. I got the second black bike, or so I am told. There was also mention of eight bikes to be delivered, possibly - but who knows.
Bottom line: these are hot bikes in fairly high demand with most of them already spoken for. Please don't waste too much time if you're serious!

I don't know, but it seems to me that some dealers are "in" and some are "out". My dealer has no idea when or what he's getting. Seems like some are getting more bikes than others. To date, my dealer has only received two bikes--neither of them black.
I feel like I'll be one of the last to get their S3
