Help! My 1995 Speed Triple Died

First let me say I love my bike, and I just paid it off, but now it doen't run! While riding after about 20 minutes, it seems as if my ignition shut down after cutting out once or twice while tearing down the highway. Then...it shut off for quite some time. After sitting on the bypass and speaking to one of PA's finest, it decided to fire up again only to make it 1 mile. I hauled it home and it fired back up just fine. Then I took it out again and 3 minutes after starting it it just died again. Of course when I got it home...vrooom! When it shuts off, all lights still work and it cranks fine...but no spark. Does anyone know if there is an ignition issue with the old S3, or does this sound like a sensor heating up and killing the ignition? As of today, it won't even start at all. Arrrgh! I never had a single issue with this bike!

Any advice would be great!

Ignition coil

I had a similar issue with my 99 Trophy 1200. Turned out to be bad ignition coils...the dealership was able to test the coils and verify that they were bad. Then they replaced both of them and the Trophy ran good as new...

Its likely to be the ignition pick-up sensor, fairly common on these bikes for it to fail and cause intermittent problems.

Check out the T3 forum with your model, lots of old carb-heads there!

Cheers,
