MIVV low mount GP vs ARROW GP Low mount

Would like to get everyone's feedback on this. I really can't afford the Arrow, at $1600-1700 it is pushing it for me.
What do you guys think about the MIVV equivalent low mount??...how is the sound comparison??...also, how are they to install compared to the Arrows? easier, harder etc?. I see the speed/bhp savings are similar, so wondering why they are so much cheaper and why would someone go with the arrows.
What map do I need to do?...and is that something only my Triumph dealer can do?.....
Any comparison feedback will be helpful.
Cheers
Dale

The arrow is so much more money because it also comes with a header IIRC.

The Mivv is just the muffler. I have one on my 06. Simple install. The arrow with the header would be way more work....but still not that bad.

Depending on what year S3 you have, you could remove the precat from the stock header, and then get the MIVV, and have a setup that works just like the Arrow.

I have never heard the arrow system so I cannot comment on the sound. The Mivv with the baffle in is about TOR sound level wise. Without the baffle its awesome! VERY loud though.

You can have the dealer install the arrow low mount map for you with the MIVV and you will be fine. Or get a tuneboy, and try out a number of other custom tunes for low mount exhausts. Some of these custom tunes have timing adjustments and other cool things done to them.

Hope this helps

Confused

thanks Jay, but I have to admit, Sorry!! That I am more confused than ever, in my simple world of thinking, one can either purchase the arrow low mount $1300 or MIVV low mount $400approx. Beyond that, I am lost. If you or anyone can clarify, I would appreciate immensely. Bear with me, I will get it eventually!
Cheers!

He's talking about shop labor and mapping charges and sales tax.
That would make it about $1600-$1700.
It ain't cheap.

The Arrow is a full replacement exhaust system whereas the Mivv is just a slip-on.

That translates to the Arrow replacing the headers, the midpipe and muffler system. Compared to the Mivv system simply requiring removal of the stock exhaust system from the midpipe back and putting the Mivv muffler in its place. The Arrow system therefore weighing less than the stock system and increasing bike performance. Compared to the Mivv muffler simply replacing the stock muffler system while retaining the bike's stock headers, reducing weight somewhat and creating a louder sound while not doing a whole lot performance wise.

I was also considering the arrow system it looks very nice but the high price was the key in my decision, i took the shop demo bike out with the arrow on it and i was not impressed it did not feel any more powerfull than the system on my 06 s3 at the time i was running a bos high level twin carbon with sport adapter and k&n filter, i have since changed to the mivv low mount with k&n, & i have not been dissapointed it sounds nicer than the arrow & is more powerfull, varified by a mate who has the arrow on his 07, He can`t keep up on pure acceleration, yes the arrow looks nice, it is a lot of money for what appears to be very little gain appart from the look, i would go with the mivv and spend the extra cash on other bits,
