White Smoke?

My 2003 S3 apparently has a bad Crank Case Ventilation Seal, which is causing oil to back up into the air box. My question is whether or not this would also cause the bike to periodically produce white smoke at idle, but then go away. Sometimes it can be fairly thick smoke too. Bike has around 5K on it, no loss of power, no overheating issues, no water in oil etc.

are you sure its oil and not gas?

Yes, I am positive... It drips out of the overflow hose from the airbox.

White smoke is usually a sign of oil.
Fuel/rich mixture would be black smoke.
