Sprag clutch - happy ending

I have a 3 year old Speed Triple, now one year past warranty. Starting was always difficult, and then disaster struck 3 weeks ago. Loud CLACK CLACK CLACK when trying to start - goodbye sprag clutch.

The excellent Steve at Manayunk Triumph (Phila) said he'd take a look and talk to Triumph to see whether they would fix as a goodwill gesture. Which they did - all parts (incl starter) and all labor paid.

Thanks Triumph USA, and thanks to Steve at Manayunk Triumph for asking and for his powers of persuasion. All dealers are not created equal.

that's funny, i was just talking to steve today about a possible sprag clutch replacement for my '07. it's definitely a warranty job, and hopefully it will go smoothly.
