Gel Seat

After doing a charity run two up last weekend I'm thinking of fitting a gel seat. Is there any difference in the outward appearance? I've found a couple for sale and the photos look exactly the same as my seat whilst someone who is selling a 'standard, seat has photos showing a seat with what looks like different vinyl to mine. Unfortunately I know no-one locally with an S3 and I can't get to my local dealer at the moment due to work. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

One person's opinion............SAVE YOUR MONEY!

They BARELY provide any additional comfort. They get super hot in direct sunlight so when you get back on it...ouch. I had one and sold it promptly.

It's more about the contour than the extra padding. My Argent seat has a lot less padding than my stock seat and the gel seat but feels a lot better and enabled me to do a 1400 mile weekend with little problem whatsoever. I bought a pair bicyclist shorts with gel inserts in the ass for $15 to add additional comfort for long hauls.

I bought the Triumph gel seat and to be honest it was a waste of money. Not a lot of difference in comfort. Slightly different in colour and texture.

This is the way to go.
See my post below.

Way, way better in every aspect.
