Looking to buy '02 Triple have some ?'s

My bike just crapped out on me. I had an '03 sv650s for 5 years and I've recently been looking at the speed triple. I found an '02 on craigslist listed for $5k with the following description:

13.6K miles, just had 12k Service (major service for triumphs).
-Gel front and back seats
-Bar-end mirrors
-karyukan Chain
-Two Brothers Mid-mount exhaust (bike was remapped)
-Integrated rear lights
-Pilot Road Tires (front and back)

Included:
-Pit-Bull Rear stand
-Fender Eliminator (hasn't been installed yet)
-Tank Bag

Is there anything special I should be looking for as far as problems? it will need a rear tire and has a few minor scratches, I'm going to look at the bike tomorrow. Is $5k a good price or is there some wiggle room? Any other pertinent information would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I've got an 02 and have no problems with it. I bought it with about 6k on the clock and for 6k with accessories. Yours seems to come with a bit fatter accessory pack. Price seems a bit high, altho just having the 12k tune is a good $5-800 savings.

Get the VIN number and call a dealer with it. They can tell you if it has had any recalls and if the factory recall work has been done. Figure it has since its been in for its 12k.

If you go Triple, you will always need a rear tire Ive had mine for a few months and already have to replace it. Run the NADA value and check the value of accessories... Mine came with rear stand, dust cover, fly screen, CF tank pad, rear hugger, manuals, and riding gear; over 1400.00 in accessories made paying a little over blue book worth it for me.

I took mine in to the dealer last week and was given the best service ever! Service bulletins, recalls, trouble shooting and fresh battery and all I paid was $104.00

I never received that kind of service from Kawi or Honda

The 02 is a proven motor with a great reputation. The will take whatever you dish out and are reliable to the end. Can't comment on the price but I would always ask for less anyway.
