06 TOR cans will not fit an 08 S3
Just tried to fit a set of 06 TOR exshausts to my 08 S3,
They will fit but not without agro, is it worth it, the 08 TOR cans are still not avaialble and will cost £340 a pair
The 06 TOR cans I have different heat shields mount hole spacing, my 08 sheilds are polished and different hole spacing about 1 cm different to the 06 ones, could fit a set of carbon 06 covers to them.
08 cans have longer pipes on front that fit into the feed pipes about 2cm longer i'd say, the mounting holes on the 08 cans are slotted the 06 one just a round hole, I could slot the 06 can mountings about 1 cm so the pipes should go in far enough to feed pipe to get a seal.
Should I bother !
ex thespeedtriple forum member, what an abusive bunch of idots

well if you can get it to fit.. then why not?
bring it down to the dealer and have it re-tuned after.
but if it costs you money i would just get a half system.

s3 Junkie he such a help, loads of useful info to pass on
What's your beef, if you think I am a ass hole, feel free, but there are people out there that may assume that the 06 and 08 cans are the same, because they look very simlar, how pissed would YOU be if you went brought some secondhand 06 cans then found they did not fit you 08 bike.
Triumph have delayed the 08 TOR cans and grab rail for many months after the bike was released for sale, it may not affect you, but if taking the piss is best you can do, help yourself.
I use the forums to find out whats going on, not to sit on the side lines and snipe at people.
Do your worst, what goes around, comes around.

They will fit but not there not right
Ok, you need to move or elongate the mounting hole by 1cm, but
2cm would be better, but there not enough meat on the bracket to put whole in the right place, also you will need to get 06 heat sheilds as the 08 one's will not transfer over, as the mounting holes are spaced differenttly. so at best the fitting will be comprimised and the cans will not have polished heat sheilds.
so I think i'll just wait until triumph get the 08 TOR cans up for sale, but any thing will fit if you hit enough !

First of all Miss Sally....did you not learn to take a little light ball busting or are we gonna keep things HORRIFICALLY dry?
Secondly, you know as well as I do your main concern is not overall fitment, but as you stated elswhere, whether or not it will "look silly."
Beef? Can you really conclude I have "beef" as you say? Or would it be more sane and logical to assume I'm bustin' your balls a bit and trying to lighten things up?
Here's a tissue.

Thanks for the info speedy tiger,
Just read this thread, info about cans, wont bother with old TORs on my new bike.
What a unhelpful piss taker S3junkie is, let's hope his Carbon cans completly fall off go see his post, complaining about customer service even before he's contacted them, think it proberly sums him up and done by his own hand too.

1050 boy...thanks for the acknwledgement, glad to see a new member so friendly and with such a stellar sens eof humor. let me guess...british? lol
I'm probably one THE most informative and helpful people in this entire forum. I enjoy going FAR out of my way to provide insight, assistance, free shop manuals to those that need it, etc etc etc. Most people have a sens eof humor and can see a little ball busting can be fun, especially giving it back. Those that throw a piss fit, well they are on their own.
I see you're a new member, probably a new bike as well. Don't worry, when your bike acts up...and it WILL....I won't exclude you, I'll help you too.
But I'm sure Tiger-boy appreciates you coming to his rescue.

S3 Junkie, your very sad and have a very high opinion of yourself, I thought you had it in just for speedy tiger, but it seems were all far game to you
Let me say two things
1. I’d rather sell all my triumph than rely on you.
2. Wasn’t Britney Spears addicted to S3's, I think she snorted them, not unlike yourself but you properly take by the gross as a suppository in between post on this forum.
