My speedy lives up to it's name = speeding tickets!

Okay,

I've got a problem with my S3. The dam thing is so much fun to ride, I can't slow it down. The linear acceleration is awesome. Too bad I have received 3 speeding tickets in the last month alone.

Ticket #1--- 70 in a 55. Big deal. That one was a little picky.

Ticket#2--- 70 in a 55 again! This was in an area 200 miles away.

Ticket #3--- 95 in a 65. This one is gonna hurt. I was playing with a GSXR. As soon as we saw him, the GSXR bolted and got the hell out of there. I slowed down and got nabbed.

Do you agree that there are way too many radar guns in California now? How many of you ride with detectors?

Am I just really unlucky or what?

Valentine V-1...then get the heads up display. It's not nearly as pricey as multiple speeding tickets & the ensuing insurance bump.

U can get a RAM mount & an accesory plate & then velcro it to the plate. Put a safety strap on & your good to go. Mine stayed on fine at 148 (indicated ). It uses a phone jack ( RG 11)as a power plug, so it's easy to run a line & terminate.

Either get this http://www.cyclegadgets.com/products....asp?Item=HARD or you can fashion a bluetooth dongle & adapter, or use a hardwired set of earphones. You cannot hear it at highway speed otherwise, & to look at it would be distracting.

It literally has saved my license...

BTW, NYS has a handfull of fees they tack on when you get a ticket...expect them to increase & for other states to follow as a "vice tax"...or use fee, or whatever term the "revenue patrol" is called.

BTW, is anybody else pissed that they wave radar guns up & down the highways instead of patrolling residential areas? I could care less what speed someone travels at down the NYS Thruway ( limited access interstate ) or on backroads but I have a BIG issue with jacka$$es speeding in residential/school zones.

I've only ever dealt with radar detectors in cages and usually by the time you realize it's going off the cop could've pretty much had you. Is the one you speak of different joemomma?
