I'm still searching for a tank bag. I'm not have much success. I have yet to find a tank bag I like that is available in my area. Any of the ones I like (Marsee) either has to be sent from the USA or from the other side of the country.
So, I'm thinking about spending the cash on the Triumph bag. Before I spend my money I want to make sure the bag is what I'm looking for.
In previous posts some members have stated that it is a pain to install the mounting system.
- Do I need to take the tank off?
-About how long does it take to install?
-Other than the installation are you happy with the bag?
-Would anyone be able to post a copy of the installation instructions.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Get the Triumph bag. It is top quality kit, and is easy to install. I've tried other bags, and nothing stays on like this one. Instructions come with the bag.

Don't get the Marsee!! It will buffet around in the wind and scuff up your tank. I've seen the Triumph tank bag for other models and it looks like it works better.

The triumph bag all the way! I went into the dealership and offered $50 less than sticker for the bag. That made the price much more acceptable. Other tank bags aren't built as well as the Triumph bag. Now if I could just get the price of the panniers down about $100 from sticker. But that has proved much more difficult to do. I also use a Nelson-Rigg tail bag. It's big and a little cumbersome. The tail bag allows me a place to store my helmet and a ton of other stuff. It isn't secure, but that hasn't been a problem yet. Good luck!

no need to remove the tank. at the most the seat will come off to route the rear strap. i'd recommend putting a transparent film under the tank-bag.

i sure don't like the looks of that luggage locker tank-bag mount. an off-center loaded bag and all stress transfered to the filler neck of the tank seems a recipe for disaster.

'course i ain't no enjunear.
