How much do they charge to deliver all that oil, if you don't mind me asking?

I've been running the 4T 10/40 since last year. Good oil for sure. I've used the 15/50 for the majority of the miles on my bike; some the Triumph branded, and some the "Other" I just bought 4 Qts. of the "Other" at Advance Auto Parts, along with a Pure One. I'm totally unconcerned about the protection. My bike runs awesomely for 12 years old...

Seen alot of talk on here about ZDDP, sent a message to Amsoil about that, they sent a message. Amsoil has very high level of ZDDP, no need to add anything and is not recomended. Did I mention I put Earth magnets on my oil filter? When I cut one up after oil change, there was like........fuzz, were mag sat, I also drilled a 1/4 dia hole in drain plug and pressed in a Earth mag, not realy recomended, in case it comes loose. LOL

Hi again ,

...I came across this :

http://ferrarichat.com/forum/faq.php?faq=haas_articles

although talking is most about - dream - cars (y poor dad ...!...why ?! ) , it has some SAE references also ( that can not be more official point of view ,I guess... ).

I found it educational enough (but still a lot of ''fear'' inside me on using car oil ....).

any ideas on Rock Oil's Synthesis 4 (API SL , JASO MA) ??

Who actually is AEHaas? And with all these other "experts" sounding off, who does one believe? My head hurts!

Just go with the Mobil 1 4T 10-40, and you won't have a problem. Too much info and too many opinions are always what turns oil threads into train wrecks. I paid 9.99 per Qt of the Auto 15-50, and the 10-40 4T was only a buck more a QT. I like the 15-50.

Like Speed3 said, go with Mobile 1 4t and you won't have a problem. I personally use Silkolene Pro 4 full syn, 10w40 @ $62.99 for a 4.23 qt jug (4 liters) @ Motorcycle Super Store (free shipping) in my T509 and in my Trophy, also no problems.

The issue with heavier weight oil is the potential for contribution to bypass within the oil filter on start up. Viscous/heavy weight oil combined with an oil filter bypass actuated when you install an oil filter with a high pressure bypass, well you could cause oil starvation on start up. Do that enough times and you are rebuilding a motor. It is a cumulative effect over time.

That's why we use multiviscosity oils like 10W-40. I wish there was a 5W-40 or even 5W-50...that would be ideal in my mind.
