Ventura rack on Speed triple

I am planing a long trip on the Speedy, and I would need a good solution for the luggage.
I am leaning to the Ventura Sport kit.

Does anyone has any photos of Ventura rack mounting points?
I already searched the forum, for this but havent found the info I nead...

...I wonder because, I have a 'german heck' on my speedy, and I am not shure if ventura rack can be mounted with this rear end.

I would be greatful for any info and pics regarding the mounting of the rack.

Regards,
D.

I've got one but I haven't put it on yet. I had the Ventra system on my previous FZ1 and loved it so when I got this bike it was a no brainer to reuse the 54L bag.

There are three mounting points per arm for the S3. One is the exhaust hanger bolt and the other two are the pillion peg bolts (all on the inside of the sub-frame.

Thanks a lot! ...I am ordering mine then.

My dilemma was just if the removed original fender&light offered any kind of support to the ventura rack system.

Do you all use original bags? ...i kind'a like the idea of a roll bag mounted to the sport rack.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Regards,
D

exactly this setup

Hi Guys

I am away on a month long trip on my Speedie this June ...

Using a ventura system, I have an R&G tail tidy fitted and it makes no difference at all to the luggage ... if you wanted a roll pack I would suggest a dry "ortilieb" style bag, just shove your stuff in and roll up the end, they are designed originally for canoeists so all your stuff stays bone dry ... have a look - http://www.needlesports.com/acatalog..._Bags_141.html

Hope you have a good trip!

Cycle Venture has 'em on their website here: http://www.cycleventure.com/fitments...facturer_id=13

However, it states that the 1050 Speed Triple stuff is only available for the 2005 and 2006 model year. 2007 should be the same though right?????

Yep 2007 is just fine. Fortunately for me I live about 10min away from Cycle Ventue so I just drove up there and picked up my Speedy's rack.

Here's a pic of the tall rack being used on my FZ1 a few years ago. No trips with the Speedy yet unfortunately.

Does anyone have any info on why these racks won't fit the 08? Or if there is a rack for the 08?

They have something that fits the 2008. I "think" it is a little different because the 08 tail is longer than the 05-07. But they could be the same. Triumph may have kept the same relation between the exhaust hangers and the passenger pegs, which is how the rack mounts.

Regardless, I have it on my 2008 right now and it fits fine. I bought it through the US distributor cycle venture.
