A couple little DIY tips
I just wanted to pass these along, as they saved me some money and hassle.
1. Goof Off (comes in a little yellow square can) works the best of the various methods I tried for removing the sticker residue from where my crap-tastic fork reflectors were stuck on by the dealer. One of them fell off a week into owning my bike, so I just removed them both. I used Goof Off and paper towels to rub away the glue, which had gotten kind of baked on from the sun. It didn't harm or discolor the forks at all.
2. If you have bar-end mirrors, instead of paying a ridiculous price for some black bolts to fill in the old mirror mounts, go to a hardware store and get some bolts that'll thread in nicely. Pay attention to the thread size/spacing. Have them cut to size or do it yourself with a hacksaw or dremel, and you're good to go. I spray painted mine gloss black, and they look great. I also used a little bit of thread locker to make sure the vibration from riding won't loosen them.
Welp, I hope that helps somebody out.
