Helmet Lock - Where do you lock your helmet too?

So...I'm new to the speed triple. Where do you guys lock your helmet to? I'm used to taking the seat off and clipping it under the seat. Apparently, Triumph left off the little tabs to hook the D ring of your helmet onto.

I purchased a (cannot remember the name) retractable cable lock that I use for my helmet and my jacket. Works great and fits under the seat. Still, they should have included a helmet lock.

I went to the Harley shop and got a bar mount helmet lock for like $7 (no Harley logo, those were like $20) and mounted it just under the seat lock on the frame rail. D ring locks in and the helmet leans on the heel guard. works nicely...

I have done similar. On my 02 Speed triple i put a generic helmet lock on the rear passenger set. I have also seen people do the frame mount deal. Currently i am using a $6 cable type padlock. (similar to an action lock for a gun. It allows quite a bit of flexibility for locking stuff up without being too bulky.

I use a helmet cable extention and a pad lock to the subframe when I lock it.

If I cannot keep my eye on my bike, I pretty much hold my helmet. I am too concerned that someone will cut the strap and take my helmet.

Yup. My helmet is coming with me. When you spend $500+ for something nice, it's a bad idea to just leave it strapped to your bike. My buddy had an Arai Quantum that he strapped to the helmet lock on his Gixxer. He ran in to the Quicky Mart for some beer and came back out to find the straps cut and the helmet gone. Not gonna happen to me.

I never ever leave my helmet with the bike... not because of the risk of someone stealing it, but because my life depends on my helmet being in good condition and not being kicked or struck in any way. While it's on the bike anything could happen to it and I wouldn't know.

It also really sucks when your helmet gets rained in while you are in the store. That that from someone who knows. ;-)
