Anyone know how to reset the top speed indicator on an 06 speed triple? is it even possible?

Long Story...:-)

Thanks in advance..

It's very simple... Set the display to any of the stored settings (top speed, elapsed time, avg. mpg, avg. speed), and then hold the left and center buttons together for a few seconds. All of the stored settings will be reset.

Semi-serious: You could pull the battery. That clears the entire console (but obviously not the odometer).

1 post, got his question answered... I am going to venture to say we never see him again.

I do think it funny none the less. When i let the little bro ride my spare speed 3 were used to reset the top speeds and compare them at the end of the day.

I reset mine when I unplugged to put flyscreen on. Now I just have to get the balls to hit 152 again.

Never See me again huh??

Haha.... never see me again huh....we'll on the contrary I'll probably be spending more time on the site now. Since I've thrown the towel in and finally bought the bike of my dreams....Yes, yes the speed triple. I've been wanting this bike for so long but really counldn't justify it. The story regarding the my top speed question is part of a longer story which ends up with me owning not only one but two speed 3's.

Of course I'll be getting rid of one but my garage sure does look great.

BTW:
Thanks for the quick/whitty responses (my dad's bike:-). I'll be posting pics of my new bike and updating my profile when I get a chance. Just a few more add on's.

Thanks again....
